Multi-Sport Events

13th annual Tejas Triathlon will host up to 800 triathletes for an awesome sprint distance race with a 600 yard swim, 12 mile flat and fast bike, and a shaded 3 mile run.

RACE LOCATION & COURSE

The race will be at Pecan Park in the New Territory sub-division of Sugar Land, Texas, near the intersection of Hwy 99 and Hwy 90. The man-made lake in New Territory is an ideal setting for novice triathletes as well as experienced veterans. The water temperature will be very warm-well above the 78 degree cut-off for wetsuits. The bike course is flat but windy and leads into a 3 mile shaded loop that ends underneath 100 year-old pecan trees. Race Maps are available, Here.

ENTRY FEES

Early individual fees are $65 through April 14th, Relays $95 through April 14th.

Regular entry fees are $75 for individuals and $105 for relays from April 15 through May 14.

Late registration of $85 for individuals and $115 for relays from May 15th to June 1st OR until race is full.

THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP-IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT, DON'T SIGN UP! THERE ARE ALSO NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS OF ENTRIES.

USA TRIATHLON FEES & INFORMATION-IMPORTANT STUFF!

This event is USA Triathlon sanctioned. A current USAT membership card must be presented in person at packet pickup. USAT mandates that the member must be present to pick up a packet-packets MAY NOT be picked up by friends. USAT 1 day memberships are available only at packet pickup for $12 CASH OR CHECK (no credit cards) . This is in addition to the entry fee for the race! COMPUTER CHIP TIMING & RESULTS

We will have computer chip timing with all split times, including transitions. OCCASIONALLY A SPLIT IS MISSED due to a misread or improper chip placement on the ankle.  We apologize in advance if this occurs.

Everyone will have to use the chip provided-you can't use your own chip!! Timing fees are included in race registration fees. CHIPS WILL BE DISPOSABLE FOR THIS EVENT, SO YOU WILL PICK IT UP AT PACKET PICK UP. Complete results will be posted at http://www.eztoregister.com and www.out-loud.org as soon as possible after the race.

AWARDS

Awards will be given out to the overall Male and Female and overall Master's Male and Female. Age group awards will go 3 deep and further. Age groups will begin at 19 & under and go in 5 year increments through 75+. There will be Clydesdale (men over 220 lbs.), Clydesdale Masters, and Athena (women over 165 lbs.) weight division awards at 3 deep. Relay awards will go 3 deep in men's, women's, and co-ed categories.

PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT

Three charities will be the recipients of the proceeds from this event, along with volunteering on the course.

• Ordinary Saints - coordinates the placement of college and post-college leaders with service organizations world wide.
• Cenikor is a drug and alcohol recovery program based in Houston area.
• Girl Scouts of Texas - Several New Territory sub-division Girl Scout Troops will be coordinating the aid stations on the run and will receive charity donations.
