International Triathlon.
RACE LOCATION This International Triathlon will take place in Clear Lake, Texas (1/2
hour south of Houston) at Clear Lake Park. (Nasa Road 1, just east of Space
Center Blvd.) COURSE Swim: 1 K (1000 meters) swim in Clear Lake with a triangular, clock-wise course, Bike: 30 K (18.6 miles) loop crossing Kemah Bridge with views of Clear Lake and NASA Space Center, Run: 10 K (6.2 miles) out and back partially shaded course through Nassau Bay with views of Clear Lake. PACKET PICKUP Wednesday, August 20 Noon-6:30 pm THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR OWN PACKET. USAT CLUB CHALLENGE The Bay Area Multisport (BAM!) triathlon club invites all of the local area USAT official clubs to participate in a club challenge. The first challenge we have is to have your club participate in the race and show your presence. You are invited to bring your club tent and banners, wear your jerseys, and try to show off your club. Don't forget a loud cheer before the race. The Top Award goes to the team with the most points based on the USAT South MidWest scoring system. Bring as many racers as possible to get the participation points, and earn extra competitive points by placing in the top 5 of each age group. The USAT web site with full details for the scoring method is HERE. AWARDS Awards will be given to the overall Male and Female and overall Master's Male and Female. Age group awards will go at least 3 deep, utilizing USAT 5 year age group divisions. There will be Clydesdale (men over 200 lbs) and Athena (women over 150 lbs) divisions. Awards will go 3 deep in the relay categories. CHIP TIMING We will provide chip timing with all split times, including transitions. The chip fees are included in your entry fees. Chips will be handed out on race morning. Complete results will be available at www.runnertriathletenews.com and www.out-loud.org as soon as possible after the race. ENTRY FEES Field Limit is 600 for this first year. Sign up early!
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICKUP-DON'T SIGN UP IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT! An email response from signmeupsports is your entry confirmation. NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS-PERIOD! Registration is available at packet pick-up if spots remain. AID STATIONS Aid stations will be available on each mile of the run. Stations will be provided at swim entry and exit points. Water, Gatorade, energy gels, and Endurolytes will be provided along the run course. A medical team will be on hand along with 2 ambulances throughout the day. OFFICIAL RACE PHOTOS
